Rotate your plant once a week to allow equal amounts of light on every leaf. Like you, they thrive in comfortable temperatures, so if you feel too cold or too warm chances are they will too.
To water, place your clay pot directly into a shallow bowl of room temperature water for no more than 30 minutes (try to avoid getting water on the leaves as this can cause spot marks). Allow your plant's soil to dry out between watering. African violets are native to the mountains of East Africa where the humidity is high, so they would appreciate an occasional spray using a water mister.
Finally, pinch away flowers and stems as they wither, to encourage new growth and further flowers.
