Your Aloe is one of the most elegant and easiest of plants to care for, and with just a little love it will care for you right back.

Snapping one of your plant's leaves will produce a natural wonder treatment gel which has been used for centuries to help heal all sorts of skin irritations including sunburn and insect bites. Applying the gel directly to your skin increases oxygen flow, helping speed the process of healing.

Aloe is a succulent (just like a cactus), and as such stores a large quantity of water within its leaves and roots. During the winter months the plant will become somewhat dormant and needs very little moisture. During this period watering should be minimal, allow the soil to become completely dry before giving the plant a cup or two of water. In our warmer summer months, the soil should be completely soaked, but allowed to completely dry again between watering.

Your plant will thrive indoors on a windowsill with plenty of bright light (but no direct sunlight).
