It is a succulent and as such stores a large quantity of water within its leaves and roots. During the winter months your plant will become somewhat dormant and needs very little moisture. During this period watering should be minimal, allow the soil to become completely dry before giving the plant a cup or two of water. In our warmer summer months, the soil should be completely soaked, giving it a really good drink, but allowed to completely dry again between watering.
Your plant will thrive indoors on a windowsill with plenty of bright light (but no direct sunlight).
