Freesias are native to the mountain areas of Africa, where days are temperate and nights are cool. Their wonderfully delicate appearance is somewhat misgiving as Freesias are a wonderfully resilient little flower.

Keep your Freesia's soil moist, but not soggy; water approx. twice a week or when the soil starts to feel a little dry.

Freesias love bright light. Place your pot on a windowsill or in a sunny spot. Rotate your pot every week or so to help with uniform growth. Remove any dead or dried flowers to keep your design looking fresh.

After the last of your Freesia's flowers have faded, continue watering until the foliage has died back. If you are feeling particularly adventurous, let the soil dry out completely, remove the corms (similar to bulbs), clean them and store in a cool dry place with good air circulation. They can be planted outdoors next spring and enjoyed year after year!
